You don’t need a crisis to decide your life should feel better than this..
THE PERMISSION PRINCIPLE™
If you’re drinking more than you want to - even though your life looks fine on the outside - you’re not alone.
Many of the women I work with are stuck in what I call the grey area.
From the outside everything appears functional.
But inside something has started to feel misaligned.
Energy is lower than it used to be.
Alcohol has become more of a habit than a pleasure.
And the life you’re living no longer feels quite like the one you want.
For years I worked with women who felt trapped in this space.
Not “rock bottom”.
But not quite right either.
What I began to realise is that the real barrier wasn’t willpower.
It was permission.
Permission to question alcohol.
Permission to want something different.
Permission to redesign your life without waiting for things to get worse.
That idea eventually became what I now call The Permission Principle.
🧭 About You
You’re not broken.
And you’re not an “addict” in the way the word is often used.
You’re a woman who has started questioning the role alcohol is playing in her life.
✔ You want more clarity
✔ More energy
✔ More peace of mind
You don’t want alcohol shaping your evenings, your health, or the way you feel about yourself.
And you’re not looking for a label or a lifelong recovery identity.
You simply want to move forward.
From the outside everything may still look perfectly fine.
But inside something has begun to feel off.
This work isn’t about staying trapped in a story of being broken.
It’s about stepping outside the patterns that no longer serve you — and building a life that feels better to live in.
💡
Who This Work Tends to Attract…
Most of the women who arrive here recognise themselves somewhere in what I call the grey area.
Their lives function.
Nothing looks catastrophic.
Which is exactly why change can take so long.
It’s easy to stay inside what I often describe as The Bubble — the stage where everything still appears manageable and there always seems to be more time to sort things out.
Next week will be different.
Next month we’ll get back on track.
Years can pass like this.
Many of the women who reach this point have already tried to change things on their own.
They’ve experimented with moderating, taken breaks from alcohol, or promised themselves that this time will stick.
What they’ve realised is that alcohol is holding them back in subtle but important ways — with their energy, their clarity, and their sense of who they want to be.
What they don’t recognise themselves in is the idea that they must adopt a lifelong recovery identity in order to move forward.
They simply want to step outside the patterns that no longer fit — and begin building a life that feels more intentional.
Client Testimonial
“I’ve NEVER felt more comfortable discussing my issues. Not in rehab, not in other programs. I never felt comfortable speaking in AA (I have friends in AA who are doing well but it certainly isn’t for everyone and it makes me cross when people say it’s the only thing that works - the stress of having to go to meetings actually made me want to drink and I can only remember one occasion when I didn’t stop for wine after a meeting), but I honestly feel like I could say anything to you. Your kindness shines through, and your understanding. And I think the program you have put together is just brilliant. It’s relevant and concise and the lessons make so much sense and are easy to take on board. You are incredibly good at what you do.”
